What’s new in WordPress 5.9?
WordPress 5.9 “Joséphine” was released on the 25th of January 2022.
It includes a new bundled theme called Twenty Twenty-Two.
This is the first Full Site Editing theme that’s officially bundled with WordPress.
Some of the new features include:
- Site Editor (beta )
- Navigation block
- Better block controls
- Revamped List View
- Better Gallery block
- Simple Site Design with Full Site Editing at learn.wordpress.org
- WordPress 5.9 field guide
Plus many improvements for developers.
How to use it?
Our intention is to help explain some of the changes and how to use them.
If you’ve already installed WordPress 5.9 you may have already seen the About WordPress 5.9 page. If you want to see it again, visit the About WordPress page under the WordPress logo in the Admin bar.
