In the Archive template I created a group with a wide width and inserted two columns.

The second column contains a sidebar template part. This attempts to reproduce it in a post.

Post body

This is the body of the post in the first column.

To the right is the content of the Sidebar template part that’s been pasted into the second column.

We can make the sidebar appear in the left column by switching the columns.

This technique might come in handy if you had previously used a plugin such as widget logic to include certain widgets on particular pages.

Another option would be to consider redesigning the site to avoid using sidebars.

Because this sidebar is within the post’s content, the Categories, Tags and Edit link and the Previous and Next navigation sections appear below the sidebar.

This is because they’re part of the template.

It would make sense to create one or more custom templates for the content that benefits from a sidebar.
