Question: Can we reproduce the Past events widget, which used the bw_related shortcode with the Query Loop block?
We need to show:
- 3 posts per page
- of the custom post type
meetup - ordered by descending
_date - where the date is in the past.
Answer: TL;DR NO.
- Yes, we can list posts from Meetup.
- Yes, we can show 3 posts per page
- But we can’t show the Query Pagination block
- Sorting does not appear to work on this CPT
- We can’t run the query against post meta data
